There is an abundance of things to do in Rosscarbery for the energetic participant or the armchair fan of sports.

Soccer: Rosscarbery soccer club compete in Division 1 of the West-Cork leagues.

5-a-side soccer for various grades is played during the winter in the school sports complex. Contact Denis McSweeney at 087-289 0314 or Michael o Donovan at Mount St Michael.
There is a comprehensive soccer complex in Clonakilty where grades from under-8 through over-35s can compete in league through out the year.
Rowing: There is an active rowing club located at the Lagoon. They compete in the under-12 through to the over-45 age grade, in the very competitive coastal rowing league in West-Cork, as well as the All-Ireland regatta. The club has a membership of about 60, and are in the planning process of building a new clubhouse on the lagoon to cater for its activities there. Visit the Rowing Club web page.
School Sports: Considerable success has been achieved by Mount St Michael School in many different sports.
Swimming: There is a swimming club active at the Celtic Ross Hotel as well as in Clonakilty.
Road Bowling: Most Sunday evenings during the summer you will find bowling taking place on the road from Rosscarbery to Reenescrena. A local girl won the all-ireland in the under-18 grade, and went on to compete in the European finals. Contact: www.irishroadbowling.ie
Pitch & Putt: There is a 36 hole course located among the dunes overlooking the warren strand. This is recognised as one of the best courses in Ireland of its kind. Its superbly maintained and hosts a competition every Sunday morning during the summer.

Fishing: You are surrounded by accessible coastline where there is ample opportunity for the fishing enthusiast. There is fishing points on the lagoon as well as on the warren beach or pier. Get your Tackle and fishing maps and advice from Graham at Clontackle and Leisure.
Tennis: There are public tennis courts adjacent to the playground near the lagoon and near the Pitch & Putt Clubhouse at the warren beach. For the more serious player, there are tennis clubs and courts in Clonakilty and in Ardfield. (less than 15km away)
Basketball: There is a public court adjacent the playground.
